After careful research we found that the EJ 2.5L motor plastic filler neck have a different thread then all other Subaru yellow oil caps. While some brands will just make a lose threaded cap to make it work with all oil fill neck, we don’t do that at CHASING JS. One of the causes of boost leak and engine failure is when the oil cap backs out. With this knowledge and understanding we made a cap that is perfectly fitted just for the EJ 2.5L engine.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eFits WRX and STI from 2002-2021 (EJ 2.5L engine) with black plastic filler neck only. If you have a metal\/aluminum build in filler neck this will not fit. Please see our list below for all makes and models fitment.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eCarefully designed for both form and function, they are easy to open, with the design of the Knurling grip top ring, but tight enough for extreme track uses. We include a military spec O-ring that has a life span of 30 years.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003ePlease note: O-ring is designed to expand with use for a perfect air tight fit. Please seat the o-ring careful making sure that it sit in the oil cap groove.
